NSP Risk Assessment
N.S.P. assesses every case on its own merits.
A risk assessment is needed in all cases to deterimine the level of threat the victim may be under.
Before we can process your Risk Assessment form we will need your Police Crime Number or Log Number.
There are several points worth knowing:
- 25-40% of stalkers will at some point attack their subjects.
- This rises to more than 50% when there has been an intimate relationship between the stalker and their subject.
- Most attacks will result in minor injuries but will leave a long lasting emotional effect on the subject.
- Some however can be more serious, stalkers who know their subjects will normally make threats before attacking them.
- Sometimes these attacks are brought on by the actions of the subject.
- Predicting when they are likely to happen is all part of the risk assessment.
- In all cases attention should be paid to all changes in the stalkers behavior.
When the stalker is known a full assessment can be completed. If the identity of the stalker is unknown more caution most be taken until surveillance and or an investigation reveals the stalker’s identity.
The risk assessment can be done on line or by phone with one of our team. The results will be given to you within 48 hrs. However if you require work to start immediately for your safety this will be arranged.
If you think that you are being stalked, monitor what is happening and keep a diary of it. Report it to the police if it continues, and if you need further help or advice contact us.
